Manufacturing is the cornerstone of shaping human life and forging a transformative future. Our research group aims to develop new manufacturing technologies that enable people to revolutionize future product design and manufacturing. Our research thrusts include next-generation additive manufacturing (AM) processes, intelligent manufacturing systems, and novel designs empowered by AM.

  • May 2022: Yang was awarded the William F. Ballhaus Jr. Prize for Excellence in Graduate Engineering ResearchViterbi Engineering School’s Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award (runner-up), USC!

  • Apr 2022: Yang was given the best Ph.D. dissertation award by USC's Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering!
